Heritage and Harmonies

As part of our work with the Heritage Lottery Fund, we ran a series of lectures and organ recitals.

These were attended by over 300 people, from all walks of life and backgrounds.

16th September: Wind Trio (Nicola Hands, oboe; Rosemary Taylor, clarinet; Ashley Myall, bassoon).

30th September: Organ Recital: Robert Quinney (New College, Oxford).

14th October: Organ Recital: James McVinnie (St Andrew Holborn).

27th October: Lecture: Catharine Arnold: ‘City of Sin’.

28th October: Organ Recital: William Fairbain (Organ Scholar, St Catherine’s College, Cambridge).

30th October: Lecture: Margaret Willes: ‘A Botanical Shakespeare’.

4th November: Lecture: Jane King: ‘The Foundling Hospital: The legacy of Coram, Hogarth and Handel’

11th November: Organ Recital: Joseph Beech (Organ Scholar, The London Oratory).

18th November: Lecture: Lee Jackson: ‘Dirty Old Holborn’.

25th November: Organ Recital: Simon Johnson (St Paul’s Cathedral).
