St Andrew Holborn is the administrative base for a number of charities. Two of them – St Andrew Holborn & Stafford’s Charity and Bromfield’s Educational Foundation – together make grants annually of around £500,000 to support individuals in need and organisations that support them. Grants are awarded on the basis of need and irrespective of background or religious belief.
Organisations based in the area of benefit or providing services benefiting those living within it - click here to see the area of benefit.
To support organisations that promote inclusion and community cohesion within our area of benefit. We offer this help on the basis of need and irrespective of background or religious belief of service users.
All applications will be decided on merit, but any application for a holiday or trip would need to evidence to show that the event is of a therapeutic nature and not entirely for social reasons.
We generally do not support cultural and musical events unless it can be proved that a particularly deprived group in the community would benefit from this project, or that the event is designed to encourage social cohesion and integration.
The trustees of the Charities meet quarterly in March, June, September and December. Applications need to be submitted a minimum of 2 working weeks prior to the meeting to enable the Grants Officer to visit and discuss the application in more detail. Outcomes are usually conveyed the day following the trustee meeting.
Submission deadlines for 2021 are 8th March, 14th June, 13th September and 15th
November.
In the first instance please contact the Grants Officer to discuss the proposal. If appropriate you will then be provided with an application form and a list of supporting documents to prepare and return.
